Border River

This world follows harsh laws of its own and welcomes guests not very hospitably. The deadly lands of Haitana are separated from human territories by a river—thousands of bewildered aliens crowd along its banks. There’s little choice: death in the clutches of raiders, or slavery in civilized lands. There will be no help; the way back is unknown—death waits at every step. No wonder even cannibals here are afraid to settle—only the ruins of ancient cities remind you of this region’s former greatness.
