"Buzzed" is a translation of the 2011 American anthology book by Victor Kogan titled "On Booze". New Directions, the New York publisher known for posthumously publishing the works of Francis Scott Fitzgerald, compiled various magazine publications and the writer’s works into one volume.
The book contains Fitzgerald’s diary entries, essays, and stories—Fitzgerald, a vivid representative of the "Lost Generation"—focused on the theme of alcohol and arranged in reverse chronological order, from the late 1930s back to the early 1920s. Fragmentary, melancholic, yet at the same time poetic texts immerse us in memories of the "Jazz Age," the interwar period, and nostalgia for old New York, as if we’re seeing it through the haze from a ferry deck to Staten Island.
