Stepan Shabanov’s gang carries out a robbery of a tough Moscow bank. The criminals act on a tip, and everything goes off without a hitch. The “Shabanov men” manage to carry out from the vault a batch of diamonds worth several million dollars and escape without interference. But luck ends there. Soon one of the gang’s members is arrested, and then a hunt begins for the rest. In addition, the bandits are accused of kidnapping diamonds not for millions, but for billions of dollars. But why? Were they set up, and did they rob a bank that had already been robbed—where someone had managed to “work” on it before them?
