Eymerich's Flesh and Blood

Eymerich's Flesh and Blood

7 hrs. 14 min.
In the Middle Ages it doesn’t happen by accident—it happens because of people full of hatred and enmity.

In 1358, the great inquisitor Nicholas Eymerich is sent to the south of France, to the city of Castres, where rumors spread about strange “masks”—sects trying to infect others with the terrible Red Death and drinking blood. What’s more, Castres has a complicated political situation, with the interests of different aristocratic houses and states intertwined, and—according to rumors—the clergy have sunk into worldly pleasures. When Eymerich arrives, he quickly understands that problems are more numerous than expected, and he makes a decision inconceivable even for his time.

In America in the second half of the 20th century, the Red Death turns out not to be a myth, but a terrible reality. But just like in the Middle Ages, it appears because of people blinded by hatred and enmity.
