By the age of twenty, the artist Polina Grineva becomes firmly convinced that in life there’s nothing more boring than relationships with men—uniform, weak, and self-absorbed creatures. Polina isn’t interested in a “conceptual” life or in the “beautiful” life of the men around her: their interest in Buddhism, or diamonds, or closed elite clubs… What attracts her is something else. Polina works with mosaics; she gets a chance to realize her plans, and even in very unusual conditions. So she pays little attention to meeting the cameraman Georgiy Turchin. Polina doesn’t yet know how noticeably different he is from her acquaintances, and what kind of “strong magnet” has now appeared in her life…
