“Crossing the line” covers the period from December 2003 to January 2004. Odysseus, on orders from the leadership, undertakes an extremely dangerous operation—delivering a shipment of guided anti-tank and anti-air missiles to Iraqi rebels fighting Americans and growing stronger Islamists, disguised as military contraband from Poland. After a whole chain of dangerous adventures, he completes the mission. But then information arrives in the Center that he has died.
