After the tragic events on Sarosh, part of the Legion of the Dark Angels, by order of their primarch, Lion El’Jonson, returns to their home world, Caliban. And with them—Luther. According to the official version, they are meant to provide quality training for recruits for the Legion. But it’s unlikely that this can fool anyone. In reality, the warriors understand that it is a punishment—banishment.
Their home world greeted them unkindly. Becoming part of the Imperium brought neither peace nor prosperity to Caliban. Its endless forests were cut down, mountains were emptied out, and people were herded into labor camps. Revolts flare up here and there. In the end, Luther will be forced to use the Astartes to crush their uprising and discover that at the head of the conspiracy are his former brothers-knights. But that isn’t the worst part. Very soon it becomes clear that the original Evil has taken root in the very heart of Caliban. And it can be torn out only together with the heart itself.
