After dealing with Rome, the Carthaginian army comes to the aid of Philip of Macedon, who launched a powerful offensive against the Greek city-states. Fyodor Chaika and “the one who lingered” in Italy, Lekha Larin, are sent to Greece as part of an expeditionary corps. They manage to arrive at the beginning of the main battle and take part in the campaign against the Peloponnese. Soon hordes of Illur invade from the north. The combined army subdues all the Greek city-states, laying siege to and capturing Athens. The remnants of the Athenian fleet flee to Asia Minor, where they seek the protection of the Seleucids. Taking advantage of this, Hannibal begins his invasion of Asia. Allied armies, supported by a powerful fleet, cross the Hellespont and launch a victorious advance deep into the Seleucid Empire. The friends find themselves at the edge of the attack, but they don’t know Hannibal’s plans—and they don’t even suspect what fate is preparing for them this time.
