A sensational version of the tragedy of 1941: the solution to the main secret of the Great Patriotic War. Igor Bunich, earlier than Viktor Suvorov, suggested that Stalin planned a preventive strike against Nazi Germany. The beginning of this grand offensive operation, called “THUNDERSTORM,” was scheduled for July 10, 1941. However, the “error in the third digit” that crept into the calculations ruined Stalin’s plan for a victorious war, throwing the USSR under the devastating blow of the Wehrmacht, which outpaced the Red Army by about two and a half weeks.
