For many thousands of years, drow and bright elves have not had children together. Especially since their goddesses do not approve of interspecies relationships. The same rebellious couples who still dared to go against their patrons’ oaths are met with contempt and persecution from both peoples. And defective offspring of such daredevils are born either dead or so frail and sickly that they do not reach adulthood.
Of course, there are those who claim that higher beings fear half-bloods for a completely different reason—that children born of the bright and the dark will inherit an unprecedented power, one that surpasses the combined world-shattering might of the goddesses themselves.
