Rumors about Lydia Crow’s family spread throughout London. A city legend says that her ancestors possessed magical abilities, and perhaps echoes of that magic still flicker in someone from the family today. Lydia has lived in Scotland for a long time, where no gossip reaches her. Yet she has to return to the capital, into the arms of the family, because Uncle Charlie, head of Crow, asks Lydia to find her missing cousin sister. Lydia settles in Charlie’s abandoned café, where she thinks she sees a ghost. Could it really be that she has unusual abilities?
