Natalya Kolesova is a fantasy writer who works mainly in social and scientific fantasy, often with a romantic line. She has been recognized in the literary contests “The White Spot” and “Interpresscon.”
Her novel “Not Scary Dreams” is written in the genre of urban romantic fantasy and continues the book “Walks on the Roofs.” Sixteen-year-old Agata has no magical abilities, but for some reason she becomes interesting to a conspiratorial group of mages and secret services. The girl is helped to get out of trouble by her history teacher. At school he often nitpicks at her and is sometimes overly strict, but once Agata is in trouble, he is always there.
There is an enigma the heroine is trying to solve—perhaps the secret lies in her past. After Agata manages to neutralize the magical Cauldron, she is expected at the Institute of Magical Phenomena. But she absolutely doesn’t want to become an object of study. Meanwhile, strange dreams continue, and it becomes clear that Agata is somehow connected to a magical anomaly that arose as a result of a failed experiment.
