Natalya Shitova is a versatile writer working in the science-fiction genre, mostly social and scientific, often with a romantic line. We present in audio format her novel “The Two-Faced Ones”—the second book of the “KiKiMoRa” series.
The story takes place in modern times. A strange phenomenon unsettles residents of a large city. People stop sleeping and become dangerous to society because of it. Locally, on slang, they’re called “kikimoras.” Lada, the main heroine, is part of a squad that monitors those affected by this mental ailment.
Because of the troubling nature of her work, it’s difficult for the heroine to have a personal life. And from some point on, mysterious events begin happening to her as well, leading to shocking discoveries.
In the second book of the series, the amazing story continues. A forest commune of kikimoras tries to build a life for themselves, but this is hindered by new problems and old enemies. Lada will have to face new challenges and new dangerous adventures.
