Unbending

A world where steam rules. Steampunk? No. Just an ordinary world, more or less similar to ours. The only difference is that internal combustion engines don’t exist as a class. Our modern-day man, who is also an auto mechanic, just happened to land in exactly such a world. And of course, the first thing that came to his mind was to create an internal combustion engine.

Well… It seems simple. But as everyone knows, nothing is simple.

Because along the way, he may encounter: a greedy merchant with his helpers, escaped convicts who don’t disdain to feast on human flesh, huns—raiders from the East—and prospectors who’ve gone mad from the gold fever. Try to figure it all out.

And then there’s the inevitable meeting with the thugs of some secret club of steam-engine enthusiasts. You’ll think he knows nothing about them? That makes absolutely no difference whatsoever.
