A Victor Who Isn’t a Gamer. Not at all, by the way. He had never been one. An invalid, a wreck confined to a bed, he came into the virtual world to feel his body. To feel the grass under his feet. To eat a big serving of shish kebab instead of the boring porridge. To hug and press a woman to himself—rather than stew with bitterness out of helplessness when he sees the beauty of the nurse.

Someone here is playing, others are earning, and he is simply living—and enjoying every moment.

Yes, in the virtual world he found a lot. But at some point it became not enough for him. Life without a goal is just existing. And if you’re not ready for that, you’ll have to roll up your sleeves and work hard. Of course, it won’t be easy. But who said this is a reason to give up?
