The Underachiever

The “Nadelennye” are a caste of hunters targeting supporters of Chaos. By order of the Creators, they cleanse the Dark Lands—now a prison for captured Fallen Angels. By exposing themselves while fulfilling a contract, one of the Nadelennye teams becomes a target of the Dark Ones. Only one manages to break free from Earth. As punishment for negligence, the Creators exile him to the wild planet Yasun’, where he must finish his life in oblivion.

And that’s how it would have gone, but a hundred years later fate—or chance—throws a boy from the planet Earth onto Yasun’, and the old man begins passing on his experience as a hunter of the Dark. After the death of his mentor, the undertrained recruit manages to return to his reality. The former school graduate now has to learn that modern Moscow has another—dark—side. Poltergeists, sorcerers and witches, shape-shifters and vampires—this is only an incomplete list of what the undertrained one will have to deal with in order to survive.
