What does a girl do at age 11? She studies, argues with her parents, chats with girlfriends about boys… The world of 11-year-old orphan Moska May is a bit different. She tries in every way to earn money for herself and her unruly goose, Saratsin. Barely escaping one trouble, Moska and her companion—poet and adventurer Eponimiy Klent—learn that the villains are planning to kidnap Luzesara, the mayor’s daughter from Pobor.
Without thinking twice they set off on a journey to save the girl and, at the same time, improve their financial situation…
But Pobor is not a simple city. Behind the prosperous facade of Day Pobor hides the grim life of the inhabitants of the night city. After sunset, a sinister black carriage drives onto the streets, and the kind residents of the day city tremble with fear behind closed doors of their homes.
Moska and Klent devise a clever plan to save Luzesara. But here’s the question: does the mayor’s daughter want to be rescued? And who will help Moska, who risks staying in the dark forever and never seeing daylight again? Tick-tock, tick-tock… Time goes on—Moska has only three days to escape the realm of night.
