Heaven Decided Otherwise

Agatha’s sister handed Fen’ka an almost insoluble problem: she must find the daughter of the well-known writer Smolin—alive or dead—who disappeared without a trace a month ago. Fen’ka has two versions: either Sofia was killed in order to lock up her boyfriend, Turov, and take his share in the business, or she ran away herself. She had to call on the help of her faithful friend Sergey Lvovich Bersenyev. After he was brought up to speed, Fen’ka hoped for insights. And he was pleased: the case will move off dead center if a corpse appears. And a corpse did not take long to appear: it was found on Turov’s plot of land. Only it had lain in the ground for no less than thirty years. With every day, the case became even more interesting and more tangled. And Fen’ka kept thinking about her lost love, no longer hoping to find the long-suffering and long-awaited happiness she deserved.
