The final part of the Starplanners trilogy. The third book is, in plot and in the closest way, connected to the previous one. The adventures of the heroes who flew off in their faeton starship continue. Only the cinema cameraman Vtorov has the ability to pilot the starship—because it is controlled by brain biocurrents—which greatly complicates things.
However, after several unsuccessful attempts he masters controlling the starship and makes a landing on the asteroid Ceres. They can no longer leave the asteroid—their fuel has run out. They are rescued by an English expedition. At the same time, on one of the asteroids they discover the inheritance of the faetonians.
The next part of the action takes place on Earth, in Antarctica, from where civilized humanity must send a signal to the descendants of the faetonians who predicted the destruction of their planet and relocated deep into Outer Space.
