A perfectly ordinary St. Petersburg manager, Kostya Chizhikov, is quite satisfied with himself and his life. But everything has an end. His girlfriend dumps him, and all that remains for the young manager is his faithful cat Shpuntik and his grandfather’s collection of Chinese rarities. Among the exhibits there is a small casket that Bunin is ready to pay Kostya crazy money for. But the casket is not simple: the pattern on it depicts mythical animals, and inside there are hidden compartments.
