The consciousness of a special forces officer code-named “Ermak,” who went through Afghanistan, two Chechen campaigns, several other conflicts, and overseas deployments, after his death is transferred to the year 1888. The new body belongs to a fourteen-year-old orphan—the future Cossack of the Amur Army. Now Ermak has to find his place in this new world. But the question “What to do next?” doesn’t exist for Ermak. He knows how to defend the Motherland—and it doesn’t matter what it’s called: the Russian Federation, the Soviet Union, or the Russian Empire. One man in a field isn’t a warrior.
