The Moscow Forest

If the metropolis around you has turned into an impassable thicket, if on the ruins of residential districts huge towers higher than Stalin’s buildings have grown, if trees have appeared and streets are now under the rule of strange plants and even stranger creatures—this is not a reason for you to become a beast yourself.

Stay human—no matter whether you’re holding a carbine or with a pack of a roaming street trader on your shoulders. At a table covered with bottles of mysterious elixirs—or in a laboratory by a microscope.

Because surely there will be those who try to make you a monster, a mutant, something worse than a giant spider or a saber-toothed creature that has tried human flesh. But there will also be others—those who open the door and feed you dinner without asking for money; those who bandage wounds received in fights with forest creatures and with people who have become worse than any beast. And when you need help, they will stand up and go after you.

Most important—remember: the forests are enough for everyone.
