Summoning a demon—what could be more absurd and unbelievable? Such a thing was only ever achieved with great difficulty, and only by old wizards and witches who had spent years honing their skills with rituals—and besides, it is strictly forbidden. And who in their right mind would leave a real summoning formula in open access?
But Mona is a museum caretaker witch, and she accidentally finds it right at work. And when she needs protection from armed robbers and a magus-vampire, she decides to perform the ritual.
And she does it wrong.
In the end, she calls forth the charming yet haughty archdemon Balthazar, who is now forced to appear to her aid every time Mona gets herself tangled up in another story.
Only pretty quickly, Mona realizes that a demon who shows up out of nowhere and easily switches to flirting is far from the biggest problem in her life.
