Between West and South

The novel “Between the West and the South,” published in 2010, unfolds against the backdrop of the recent coronation of Charles VI as Emperor of the Holy Roman Empire. His troops strive to enter a conflict with the Ottoman Empire, planning to take advantage of their opponent’s weakness, who suffered defeats in the war with Russia, and to seize uninhabited territories. However, Russia is forced to split its forces, because more and more resources are being sent to fight Sweden. The Russian Empire is still actively involved in the most important global conflicts. The Northern War for control of the Baltic continues, drawing many European powers into the confrontation, and the consequences of these events for Europe remain unpredictable.
