Life in a small northern town of MaunDzh at the turn of the nineties and the 2000s is nothing like anything special—just ordinary everyday life of simple guys. Friends explore the surroundings, trade local stories, and try to get home on time after endless walks so they won’t incur their parents’ wrath.
Everything changes when mysterious people appear in town, searching for “their god.” Some simply consider the newcomers strange. Some say it’s a sect. Those who end up with the strangers out of curiosity change—one feels as if a person fades from the inside, and all their conversations are reduced to prayers and stories about “their god.”
The usual order collapses, and more and more mystical events occur in the town. One day local kids find the body of a man, and from the ice of the reservoir they retrieve a fragment of a mysterious ancient book—then the events take a completely unbelievable turn.
