Memoirs of a Witch

Kira is an ordinary village girl. At least, that’s always what she believed. However, from the moment she was born, Kira has had a calling and a special path. She is a hereditary witch, the granddaughter of the strongest sibirian fortune-teller. And as it turns out, training under a renowned healer is definitely not a pastime. Grandma Valya’s house is never empty. Everyone in the area knows her and comes for help. So, at just under thirteen years old, Kira has to solve the mystery of the drowned woman from the swamp, send a demon to hell side by side with her grandmother, carry a pie—thrown in by a black witch—to a neighboring village, and learn the ancient story of their feud. And it would all be fine—except for one crossroads near the forest, where there is a witch cemetery hidden from prying eyes. There, on one of the graves, a long-dead sorcerer decides to resurrect himself. How will Kira deal with fear, and what will her all-knowing grandmother do? The wise witch not only puts the girl through trials, but also teaches secret knowledge. “Magic rules our world,” she tells her. “It’s what every one of us knew before, but over time everyone chose to forget!”
