Continuing the plot line of the historical adventure novel “Marianne. A Star for Napoleon,” the popular French writer tells dynamically and engagingly about Marianne’s further dramatic fate. With the patronage of the Minister of Police, she becomes the lover of Bonaparte. However, the emperor, guided by the interests of the state, is forced to marry an Austrian princess. Abandoned by him, Marianne suffers from jealousy and persecution by her lawful husband, whom she believed to be dead. The way out of the difficult situation is suggested by her godfather, Cardinal San Lorenzo, who—after obtaining from the Pope the annulment of Marianne’s first marriage—advises her to marry the mysterious prince from Tuscany.
