In January 1945, the 14-year-old Moshe Kessler arrived at the Buchenwald concentration camp. He lost his family, survived the horrors of Auschwitz and the “death march,” and miraculously remained alive. In Buchenwald, he found refuge in Children’s Block 66, where the German authorities planned to destroy the inmates. However, thanks to an underground movement led by Antonin Kalina, Moshe and more than 900 other children were saved. This story tells about his life in Block 66 and became one of the most significant pages in the history of the Holocaust.
