There’s a saying that fools are always lucky. But the hero would probably argue with it: he mostly got knocked around and mocked. Still, in this case, luck did happen—some unknown force made him smarter. A foreign entity tried to move into his body, but the attempt failed, and the invader lost its own soul. As for the hero, now his mind works to the envy of many.
But is this really luck? After all, he has to use his sharp intellect mostly just to survive—fighting off aggressive spirits and those who drive them away.
In the third book, the hero continues practicing as an exorcist—still illegally. People who want to use his services are more than enough. But the problems from that are also far too many. All that remains is to hope that it wasn’t all in vain and that fate will repay his efforts a hundredfold.
