Phil is a thirty-year-old unemployed gamer who earns extra money by writing freelancing articles and running a blog. On the day he gains the ability to see our world through a mysterious virtual interface, similar to an element from a computer game, his wife leaves him—and he ends up without money, without food, and without any goals in life.

But now Phil can see his stats—and they clearly are far from even average: agility—4, strength—6, endurance—3, and his most upgraded skill is the popular MMORPG game.

Fortunately, you can level up your stats and skills! But will this help the eternal lazy, flabby man get his wife back? Become stronger? More successful? Richer? Will his gaming skills help him in real life? And where, the hell, did this interface come from—and for what purpose?
