So I’m lying there in delirium, and next to me some kind of elf is walking around. I thought, that’s it—deathbed hallucinations of an old man have finally caught up with me. But no. Once I came to my senses, I still couldn’t understand anything: an alternate Russian Empire, a gigantic Rift from which creatures crawl out, and “system prompts” flicker before my eyes.
But you can’t drink away thirty years in the hunters’ service—so I’ll figure it out.
First, though, I need to understand what destroyed the military caravan, leaving not a single trace…
