Like any truly final story, it comes before the very first one, shedding light on all the preceding events. An astonishing, dazzling light—so bright that some readers will want to close their eyes, look away, or even run.
Nothing will work.
The reader will get answers to every question they didn’t even plan to ask in a nightmare. They can’t wriggle out of it: whether they want it or not, they’ll have to find out how it really was.
Careful—cards are being revealed.
If you didn’t hide—then it’s not my fault.
