“You’ll be a mother to my son.”
“Why would I?”
“Because he decided so. And because I’ll pay you very well for it.”
My gaze meets icy eyes. There’s no mercy in them—no emotion at all. The father of the child I found on the street doesn’t joke around. And I should refuse this insane offer, but this powerful man gives me not even the slightest chance to run.
“You’ll agree to be a loving mother while my son needs you, and I’ll solve your problem. Any problem. Just with the snap of my fingers. Believe me, for me nothing is impossible. So what—deal?”
How could I refuse such an offer? Especially since I only have half a year to solve the most important problem in my life.
“Deal,” I sign the contract—one that cannot be terminated.
