Under the pseudonym Dem Mikhailov, Ruslan Alekseevich Mikhailov (born November 23, 1979) publishes his works. He is a writer working in the fantasy genre. He is the author of several novel cycles and one of the founders of the LitRPG genre based on the subculture of popular role-playing computer games.

“Crow” is the first book of a cycle that branches off from the “World of Valdira” setting. While Rosgard, the central character of the series “The Dominion of the Sleepless Clan,” builds a name for himself—becoming the desired “prey” for all clans—this cycle’s main hero is pursuing an entirely different goal. The dwarf Crow, barely leaving the game’s “nursery,” heads to the most remote and desolate location of Valdira—the Grey Peak region. He doesn’t want to take part in fights, get involved in dangerous adventures, or attract unwanted attention. The hero wants to live peacefully, run his homestead, and dreams of becoming a blacksmith. But fate turns out otherwise: to achieve his dream, Crow has to fight, get drawn into all kinds of troubles, and worst of all—become the object of close attention. Still, is this dwarf Crow really that simple? Maybe he’s hiding something? You’ll find out by listening to the audiobook.
