“Red Star” is a science-fiction utopian novel by Alexander Alexandrovich Bogdanov, one of the early attempts in Russian literature to depict a socialist society of the future and the idea of contact between planets. The work became a significant cultural and ideological event of its time, foreshadowing many motifs that later would be developed in Soviet science fiction.
