At first glance, Nikita Kremin is an ordinary university lecturer. But those who know him better know that Nikita is an extra-sensory person. He can take a dead man by the hand and tell what the person felt and heard before dying. That’s why when a maniac appears in the city, killing people and taking their hearts, the police ask Nikita for help. A student, Yana, tries to join him as an assistant—she has dreams that are clearly connected to the killings. While the police look for the maniac through their own channels, Nikita and Yana work out theories that lie beyond rational thinking. And it seems they’ll find the murderer first—especially if the murderer steps toward them himself, offering to play a deadly game.
