Anyone who has worn a blue beret knows: there are no former paratroopers. Yegor Dotsenko, a graduate of the Airborne School named after Margelov, was discharged from the army during the collapse of the Soviet Union—and ended up in the past, a year before the start of the Great Patriotic War. With zeal, he takes on hard work: teaching young fighters modern tactical maneuvers. His goal is to prevent the terrible defeat of the Red Army in the summer of 1941, to keep the war from swallowing millions of Soviet lives.
