The Corrector

The Adjuster is a fantasy novel by Yan Badevsky, the first book in the eponymous series, genre: battle science fiction, boyar anime. Yaroslav is a hereditary волхв who can turn into a bear, foresee the future, and cast spells over the elements. He belonged to the Order of the Tawny Owl, fought the darkness-born creatures that invaded his native world, managed to defeat them, and sealed the gates through which evil was seeping in. An endless war turned Yaroslav into a perfect weapon—a wizard "outside categories" who can effortlessly manipulate any elements. Other волхвы considered the former weapon-fellow dangerous, united against him, and overcame him in an unequal fight. Yaroslav died, but was transferred into the body of a seventeen-year-old teenager—the last representative of the Claw Clan, destroyed by order of a mighty enemy. Of his former abilities, only a pathetic shadow remained, but knowledge will help the hero recover and get accustomed to the new world. To survive and become the most dangerous Adjuster on the planet.
