The End of Gloom

After a glitch in an experimental virtual capsule, the protagonist is stuck in a game—one that… doesn’t exist at all. There are other players and “local characters,” but you can’t tell who is who. A world of sword and magic is cruel: at any moment the hero can be sent to “reincarnation.” Unexpected help comes from the God of Darkness. But to avoid becoming a target for enemies and to conceal new abilities, you have to level up the “Morbidity” stat. Energy runs out quickly, so it’s easy to imagine what will happen when it runs out completely…

In the final book, we’ll get the resolution. The war for an entire world has reached a new level. Its outcome will determine whether this world will exist at all—or whether it will become food for the Void. And of course, our hero will be at the center of events, stepping to lead one of the warring sides.
