Assignment to Hell

Anatoly Fyodorovich Drozdov is a well-known science-fiction writer working in different genres. He is especially popular among fans of books about “time travelers.” We present his novel “Business Trip to Hell” in audio format—the third book in the “Ledashchy” series. The genre is an alternative history with fantasy elements. Unlike the previous two books in the cycle, this novel by Anatoly Drozdov was written in collaboration with another author—well-known Belarusian writer Anatoly Yevgenyevich Matviyenko.

Nikolai Nesvitsky, an elderly man of respectable age, met a quiet death in a city park, but then woke up on a battlefield in an unfamiliar world. Here there is war, and on both sides participate волхвы—people who wield magic. Such a gift turns out to be possessed by the hero, who in this new world receives the nickname Ledashchy. And his gift is of rare power, thanks to which Ledashchy becomes an important figure and gets the opportunity to help many others.

In the third book, the hero is sent on a business trip abroad. Mountain air and the calm flow of life in the new country give a deceptive impression of harmony and stability. But unexpectedly, the population begins to die off from an epidemic of an unknown disease, and at the same time the country is drawn into a military conflict. All of this is hardly accidental, and Prince Nesvitsky is included in the group of волхвы sent to help a friendly country.
