The 1990s are called “wild.” “Wild” comes from the word “wildness”—but what is “wildness”? It’s the same as “evil.” Evil years. Evil people. Hungry people.
How do you live if you know only how to shoot and dig? If you’re not needed by the country, if you’re tired of war, tired of life, and all you want is for you to be left alone.
“Black digger”—who is he? A stalker who knows how to find what the “dealer” needs, and what the dealer will pay money for. Then you can live for a while without thinking about the future—drowning your memories in alcohol.
Kolyаn is a “black digger.” He went through “hot spots,” survived the war, was thrown ashore like a man in the river of life with not a penny in his pocket, and lives by the principle: “Got through the day, alive—and that’s good!” He hopes for nothing and strives for nothing—he just lives, as he can.
But his life changes abruptly. A “shot from the past,” a secret that crashes down on him with the speed and cruelty of a mudslide, carries him into an unknown future. And now—hold on! The whole world is against him! Street kids, cops, bandits—everyone!
But it’s not so easy to take Kolyаn on, and certainly not with bare hands. A former scout, he will stand his ground and take revenge on those who deserve it. Because there’s no other way. Such is the time!
