A corpse of a young woman is found in an apartment. The killer left a calling card: a dark-green dress, orchids, and a severed part of the victim’s body. The investigation begins with detective Mila Ardo. She discovers that similar murders began more than thirty years ago—meaning a serial maniac is operating in the city again. At the same time, visions return to Mila, which disappeared after the most tragic events in her life, when she was only nine. New leads force the girl to relive those terrible times; the case becomes too tangled and too personal. And in her office, on the pillow, appears the first “compliment” from a mysterious killer whom people have dubbed the Collector.
