When We Were Invincible

The next volume in the popular Spanish-language detective series has finally been released.

Inspector Valentina Redondo is planning a vacation, but her plans are disrupted when the body of the gardener is found in the old garden at the Quinta del Amo estate. The house had been empty for a long time until it was inherited by the American writer Carlos Green. He returns to this place where he spent part of his childhood, looking for inspiration, but soon finds himself at the center of mysterious events.

After the body is discovered, strange things begin to happen. Carlos is convinced that supernatural forces are involved. At night, unclear sounds can be heard in the house, strange lights flicker in the windows, and he constantly feels that someone is present.

At first, Valentina, being a rational person, dismisses the possibility of ghosts. But as the investigation progresses, she starts to doubt—because the boundary between reality and mysticism becomes less and less clear. What is it: otherworldly powers or a carefully hidden truth? To uncover the mystery, Valentina will have to abandon her usual methods and look into the darkest corners of someone else’s memory—and her own imagination.
