In the fifth part of the collection of dreadful and mysterious tales, we’ll enter a room where ghosts torment a lodger by blowing out candles. Then on Walpurgis Night we’ll be at a crypt where an Ancient Evil awakens; we’ll learn about a priest who leads a wild nocturnal life. We’ll visit a women’s monastery, where a “kind” doctor prepares to carry out several “healing” procedures. After that, we’ll wander through the dark streets of a gothic city where, in mysterious ways, small children vanish—and in the end: a pharmacist and his wonderful potion with an unexpected effect…
