1954. A young screenwriter is invited by the film studio “Maximus Films” to prepare a horror movie and immediately gets drawn into mysterious events. In a nearby cemetery, someone has climbed a ladder onto a dummy of the studio’s founder, who died twenty years ago—and this strange occurrence becomes the trigger for real studio cataclysms. The horror film is postponed; instead, he has to write a script for an unfinished film about Jesus. The workshop with dinosaur models is smashed to pieces. The producers are in hysteria.
