A Dagger in the Bed

Sergey Bogolyubov, released from prison early, didn’t know what to do with his freedom. He couldn’t understand who helped free him two years earlier. He had been sentenced to nine years for summary justice against the murderer of his son. Now Alika Vereshchagina—because of whom he ended up free—asks him to find the person responsible for her husband’s death. The circumstances of her husband’s death match the case of Sergey’s son: disappearance, ransom, a burned car, and a mutilated body. Her husband died recently, so Sergey might have punished an innocent person. Alika planted doubts in him, but Sergey decided not to repeat his past mistakes and start a new life with the woman he loves.
