Description
These are stories about Sonya Skovorodnikova from city B—the very one who, long ago, together with Major Pavlov, tracked down a criminal (see the novel “The Treasure of Kikimora,” Eksmo, 2020).

The events that form the basis of these “Notes” also unfold in city B: a green, spacious place with wide streets and surviving one-story houses from the early nineteenth century, standing—so it is known—where two full-flowing rivers meet: the Vorona and the Khopyor.

These “notes” tell of the early 1980s—almost a decade has passed since “Kikimora” was uncovered.

Now Sofya Sigizmundovna no longer lives in the dormitory by the teachers’ institute, but in a new large house on Baker Street (sorry—on Tret’yakovskaya Street): in a one-room apartment on the first floor, together with her cat Pushanya.

And life keeps throwing them puzzles. Not the most mind-bending ones, but still ones that require thought—and for Sonya, and for Pushanya. The novella consists of several novellas.
