Ell is the main character. She enters worlds she could once have inherited, but she chose love and freedom. Power doesn’t tempt her.
Her plans do not include ruling over inheritance—worlds are dying, and she has been summoned to save them. She will have to understand the causes of the destruction and find a way to save spaces and civilization from final ruin. Behind the events that are visible to everyone lie deep processes that generated this crisis. The heroes will need to rethink themselves and be reborn for the new reality.
Each person follows their own path. Journeys, politics, war, the struggle for power. Is it a philosophical parable or an adventure novel from another world? Either way, it’s about people and the problems of civilization in a fairy-tale form. A book about the victory of reason over chaos and love over the cruelty and madness of war.
From the author: The novel is not about transmigration.
Not a standalone book in the series, but it can be read with some assumptions. If the reader wants the backstory, the books “Heirs of Worlds,” “Five Novellas for a Princess,” and “Trickster” will help understand the storyline and introduce the heroes. The main character is a superspecies—please keep that in mind. Her path to the events of book 13 was very difficult.
