After the apocalyptic battle at Mount Hyjal, when the demons of the Burning Legion were driven out of Azeroth, several months have passed. A mysterious energetic rift found in the mountains of Kalimdor sends three former warriors into the distant past—back when there were no orcs, no humans, and not even the high elves on the land. The era when the dark titan Sargeras and his demon minions convinced Queen Azshara and her Highborn to cleanse Azeroth of the lesser races.
