Cold water splashed into my face.
“Enough—stop lying around!”
I wasn’t in a hurry to pretend that I had come to my senses. I tried to piece together the last events in my memory and figure out where I was, but in my head there was nothing—fog and not a single coherent thought.
“You’re awake, I can feel it,” a hoarse voice suddenly sounded beside my ear, and I involuntarily flinched. “You didn’t complete the assignment. Do you know what you’ll be punished with for that?”
I, Zhanna Kirsanova, the assistant to a private detective, found myself in someone else’s body and in someone else’s world. I was hired to seduce and destroy the secret detective Belokritsky.
But why me? I don’t know what the owner of my new body was doing!
So that’s what it’s called—again I’ve gotten in completely over my head! But nothing—I'll get out of it here too! The only question is: do I have any chance to return home? And what if every cell of my body treacherously reaches toward Belokritsky?
